Seniors Hope is a ministry committed to alleviating isolation and loneliness among residents of aged care facilities through meaningful friendships and companionship. We aim to provide emotional support and genuine friendship by building relationships that develop hope. Seniors Hope is a project of several local churches in the Yarra Valley, Victoria.
Our program is inspired by the success of ‘Kids Hope’, a similar initiative that has effectively nurtured supportive relationships for children in need. Leveraging this proven model, we have tailored our approach to focus on the unique needs of the elderly, recognising the profound impact that regular, heartfelt interactions can have on their well-being.
